John and Kelly DeAngelis are local philanthropists committed to ensuring that everyone in our community has access to lifesaving and life-changing behavioral health care in their moments of need.
Born in West Virgina and raised in Naples, John DeAngelis is the co-founder of DeAngelis Diamond, an innovative, nationally recognized construction management firm licensed in 37 states. Alongside cofounder David Diamond, John built the mission of the firm on seven core values: Faith in God, The Honor to Build, Lasting Relationships, Excellence and Quality, Leadership, Healthy Environment and Culture, and Integrity. While headquartered in Naples, DeAngelis Diamond is proud to have opened the latest office, the firm’s eighth, in the trendy Gulch district in Nashville earlier this year.
Philanthropic Support
Under John’s guidance, DeAngelis Diamond offers continual opportunities and programs focused on prioritizing the mental health and well-being of its employees.
The DeAngelises have been supporters of DLC, both personally and through DeAngelis Diamond, for more than a decade. John DeAngelis currently serves on the DLC President’s Cabinet, a group of volunteer trustees committed to the mission and future of DLC.
In addition to DLC, John and Kelly DeAngelis support a variety of Southwest Florida charitable organizations, including co-chairing the American Heart Association Heart Ball in 2020. John is also the founder and director of the Ephesians 3:20 Foundation, an elder at Summit Church, and currently serves on the advisory board of the University of Florida Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. The couple also frequently participates in mission trips to China, Cambodia, Haiti and South America, working with orphanages and ministries that rescue women and children from human trafficking.
Family Life
In their spare time, the couple enjoys spending time with their children Lauren, Drue, Maddie, Jade, and Zara; sons-in-law, Bill and Gus; and grandchildren Selah, Everly, Hope, Mya, Lena and Sutton.
“Kelly and I are honored to chair David Lawrence Centers’ 2025 Sound Minds event," John DeAngelis said. "As parents, grandparents and co-founder of DeAngelis Diamond, we feel an immense responsibility to ensure the health and wellbeing of not just our family, but our community; this includes mental health,”
